OVERCOME YOUR FEARS
Here I'm going to expose my (current) vision around the concept of fear, and how I actually use it to my benefit.
QUICK DISCLAIMER: All the information provided down below is all based on my perspective and my experience and should not be considered psychological advice.

DEFINITION
Fear is an emotion that "detects" danger. Whenever this emotion is triggered, it transmits the information that you are in a potentially threatening and/or harmful situation, usually giving you an instant reaction to avoid that same threat or harm.
We all know this and we've experienced it because it is a surface-level definition. However, as we grow and develop, especially in today's society, we tend to not allocate this emotion at its surface level purpose.
This has to do with personality, education, culture, and traumatic experiences that in a severe case develop a phobia.
FEAR IS BLOCKING YOUR GROWTH
Due to this growth and development of self and the modern world in general, we develop fears that stunt our growth and freedom as souls living a human experience. We fear taking a risk for your business (i.e. investment), we fear talking to a person to who we're attracted, we fear doing a certain activity due to lack of skill, the examples are endless.
All of these, if I put it in a nutshell, I can say that we have fear of FAILURE!
And failure is what makes us stronger, failure is what makes us grow, as that's not something new. Not only that, but we fear something that most of the time is a "50/50 chance" situation, and forget to ask ourselves "what if it works out?".
Of course, we can (and should) still put some planning and not just mindlessly take action, but the point here is that regardless of the outcome, we should not fear, because it's not a situation of DANGER, it's just that there's a possibility of an unfortunate result.
Understand that the protection that fear should provide us is so that we can be SAFE and not COMFORTABLE, because in the long run, comfort leads to weakness, which can generate more fear, and the snowball keeps growing on that cycle.
HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR
First, I like to always remember that fear should only be triggered in a situation of actual (or even inevitable) danger, because it is very helpful to keep ourselves protected from real harm, and that anything outside that is just a projection in our minds to keep us in our comfort zone.
Other than that, taking actions/risks of the things we fear and realizing that it doesn't harm us helps us overcome those fears and develop immunity and growth.
Another thing is positive self-talk. Saying to yourself over and over again that you can overcome that fear will "trick" your brain into believing that you can indeed overcome your fear. Join that with taking action and you're in for a treat.
We can also find a better understanding of this topic and the methods to overcome fear by reading books and applying the knowledge within. A book that helped me personally was
"Maximize Your Potential Through the Power of Your Subconscious Mind to Overcome Fear and Worry" By Dr. Joseph Murphy.
FINAL NOTE
It does take time, and it's not easy, but it's a matter of practice. Have in mind all the benefits that you can attain by overcoming these fears such as growth, strength, knowledge, success, and freedom.
Which is something that excites me, because as soon as I realize that it's not "danger", usually means that it's something that I should overcome, knowing that in a way will make me grow as a person.
